When to send a thank you card

There is almost never a wrong time. After a gift, of course — but also after a dinner someone cooked for you, a ride to the airport, a week of help when you were sick, a kind word on a hard day. Teachers, nurses, coaches, neighbors, the friend who listened, the coworker who covered for you, the family member who always shows up. If someone made your life a little easier or a little brighter, that is reason enough.

Why a card and not just a quick text

A text says "thanks." A card says you stopped, picked something out, and thought about the person for a moment. That is the whole difference. People keep cards. They read them twice. A pretty picture and a few honest lines can stay on a fridge or in a drawer for years, and it costs you nothing but a minute.

What to write

Keep it simple and specific. Name what they did, say how it helped, and end warmly — three sentences are plenty. If the words do not come easily, every card here has several messages inside, from heartfelt to funny to short and sweet. Copy one as it is, or use it as a starting point and add a detail only you would know.

Free to send, free to keep

Every card on Bergamot Post is free. Send it straight from the page, download it, or tap the heart to save it for later. Gratitude is one of the few things that makes both people feel better — the one who says it and the one who hears it. So go ahead and make someone's day.
